My name is Antoinette Reeuwijk (1964).

Already at a young age, writing with light - or photography - held my interest.
I started out with my father's analog camera and when years later I got my own camera, my enthusiasm only grew.
Because of the beauty of nature, landscape and nature photography are my passion.

To me, photography is an emotion; capturing the sensation of a moment that I should be able to relive when I look at the picture. I consider my picture a success when I manage to experience the same emotion when studying the picture as when I took it.

I can be touched by the sun light on a flower, a crinkle in a leaf, a ripple in water, but can also be attracted by a dilapidated door, a moulding window frame, or an old staircase. The French region of the Dordogne inspired me no end.

I am self-taught, and learned photography by reading, looking at pictures and most importantly, by looking at what is around me.

The world is big. Sometimes I get the opportunity to capture a small piece of it.

On this site you can see what I see.
